After launching in London earlier this year with a sold out show at the legendary British music venue The Troubadour where artists such as Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and many more got their first breaks in the UK, British music platform Generation W is making its debut in Glasgow on Sunday 8th October putting on a live show featuring some of the most exciting women led artists in Scotland at Stereo.
Originally a book in the UK featuring 100 leading women such as Olympic champions, Dames, Rock musicians who have sold 50 million records, and many more writing uncensored within it, Generation W has since grown at venues across London to become an important live music experience that celebrates the power and honesty of women in music who play raw and unique interpretations of their music in historic music venues, giving the audience a space to see music as the timeless art it is intended to be made. Previous collaborators with Generation W include Nova Twins, Girli, STORRY, and many more.
Stereo has been around since 2007 in a building designed by legendary Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The venue is a vegan bar and kitchen during the day but at night it transforms into a live music space with a variety of genres and we look to bringing an eclectic and stylish night to Stereo on Sunday 8th October.
